We're delighted to announce that Mark Staplehurst has joined eddge mortgage brokers as a Partner.
For us, this isn't simply about growing the business. It's about welcoming another partner who shares exactly the same values that eddge was built on: honest advice, exceptional service and long-term client relationships.
A familiar face
Many of Mark's clients will know him from his many years at John Charcol, where he built an outstanding reputation for delivering personal, relationship-led mortgage advice.
Mark brings more than 25 years' experience in the mortgage market and, in many ways, joining eddge feels like a natural progression. He has known our founding senior partners Darren Small, Darryl Plummer and Elliot Nathan for many years, having worked alongside them at John Charcol.
Throughout that time, they've shared the same philosophy: provide clear, independent advice, deliver a personal service and build relationships that last far longer than a single mortgage deal.
Bringing the four of them together simply means more experience around the table, greater expertise to draw upon and an even stronger business for the future.
Business as usual – only better
For Mark's clients, very little will change.
They'll continue to deal directly with Mark and receive the same friendly, personal service they've always enjoyed.
What will change is the additional support available behind the scenes. As part of eddge, Mark and his clients will benefit from the wider experience, infrastructure and resources of the business, while retaining the personal approach that has always been at the heart of his service.
A shared vision
When Darren, Darryl and Elliot launched eddge, they did so with a simple ambition: to build a business where advisers could focus on doing what's right for their clients. Mark shares that ambition entirely, making this a natural fit for everyone involved.
As we continue to grow, our focus remains exactly the same. We're not interested in growth for growth's sake. We're interested in bringing together great advisers who genuinely care about looking after their clients.
We're delighted to welcome Mark to the team and look forward to the next chapter together.
